How Much Does a Product Video Ad Cost in 2026?

AdreeloOctober 9, 20264 min read

A product video ad can cost anything from a few dollars to tens of thousands. The price depends mostly on how it is made. Here are real 2026 numbers for each option, with the source for every figure.

02Agencies: the most expensive option

Clutch collects verified reviews of agency projects. Based on those reviews, the average video production project costs $42,280.92, and the typical project takes about 5 months.[1]

That average is pulled up by large brand films. Clutch also says most video production projects cost a few thousand dollars, and most agencies charge $100–$149 per hour.[1]

An agency makes sense for a big brand film or a TV commercial. For a small brand that needs a new ad every week, it is usually too slow and too expensive.

03Production companies: short social videos

Vidico, a video production company, publishes its 2026 prices. Simple, short social media content costs $1,500 to $5,000. A product demo costs $1,500 to $5,000 per finished minute.[2]

Keep in mind that this is a company describing its own market, so treat it as a price range, not a quote.

04Freelancers: cheaper, but you pay by the hour

Freelancers set their own rates, so prices vary a lot. A useful reference point is official US data: the median pay of film and video editors and camera operators is $36.10 per hour.[3]

As an example only: if a freelancer charges that rate and editing a short ad takes three hours, the edit costs about $108. That is before any filming, and you usually need to supply the footage yourself.

05AI video tools: a few dollars per ad

With an AI video tool, you upload a product photo, describe the ad, and the video is made in minutes. In the Adreelo workspace, a 15-second ad uses 65 credits at 480p and up to 160 credits at 4K. With the $9.99 pack of 400 credits, that is about $1.62 to $4.00 per ad. You can try it free.[4]

06Which one should you choose?

Most small brands do not need one perfect ad. They need many ads to find out which one works. That makes cost per ad the number that matters.

  1. 1

Test several ad ideas cheaply with an AI tool.

  2. 2

Keep the one that gets the most clicks or sales.

  3. 3

Make more versions of that idea.

  4. 4

Hire a freelancer or agency once you know what works.
